Be careful when looking at images hosted by PostImg.org. I went to look at one of my images and noticed graphic porn images in a banner ad. Not good for work or around the little ones. I've seen the Russian/Japanese dating site ads but this was the first time I saw a porn image.

It's not tied to a specific image so just because you see it on an image, it may not be there the next time you visit or refresh. It's different each time the page loads. There is a link to file a complaint about the advertising.

Hmmmm . . . I haven't noticed anything worse than those shapely girls advertising some video game. Maybe we need to look at some alternative image hosting site, if it can be done.
Thanks for the heads-up Rob.

I have seen the same thing as Ken. It's gotten so bad that I cannot click on images while at work. I have to wait until I'm home.

It used to be mostly animated pics with occasional real pics of scantly dressed girls, but yesterday it was raw porn - nothing left to the imagination. I clicked on the Complain about this ad button but I don't know if that will do any good. If the image posting site doesn't suppress these x-rated adds, I would encourage folks to post their pictures on Flickr and then link to them in the forum. I little less convenient but I've not seen any offensive adds on Flickr.

I recently opened an Astrobin account as I found myself posting the same image to multiple sites, so I'll be using that from now on. I haven't done that many on here so I may go back and just replace the ones I've posted on here with an Astrobin equivalent.

I wonder if postimg.org has a setting that ensures the images are family friendly. I know they have that option for uploading images to a private account. I'm not sure how it ties into proboards.

I sent an email to Postimage about the issue. Hopefully, they have something that's easy to set to fix the problem.

PostImage gave a tab for choice of Adult or Family Friendly before you uploaded the image. I notice the new version doesn't offer the choice. The new version came out about 2 weeks ago.

They have responded to me. One of them asked me for the site info and if anyone has ever uploaded adult images with an account. I said, that I'm aware of, no one has. So at least they're responding. Hopefully we'll have it resolved. Ken, I see it when I log into the site. On one of your galleries, click the little cloud with the up arrow (upload). It will give you the option for family safe or adult 18+ upload. If you don't have an account, just going to postimg.org/ should show the option. If you mean from the forum interface, I've never seen an adult/family option.

Yeah, from the forum interface. It used to give the option in the pop-up window where you select the file. For the last 2 weeks it's been a new window. Here's how it looked up until about 2 weeks ago, notice the Censor option: But now it looks like this, with no Censor option:

I am concerned that the thumbnails showing in this site are remote hosted/linked to them and they could get marked as a p*rn site. What this means for me is any access of AVF at work from my work computer could be seen as a violation of the company's rules. I will have to stop using the forum from work until this situation is corrected.
Sorry folks.

Same here davy. I started getting the porn thumbnails yesterday and I kept clicking on all the tabs that say "Complain about this Advertisement". Now all I see is: *Dynamic Networks Guide For Migrating To Next-generation Data Centres. *Telstra Enterprise - Telstra *Try Not To Be Stunned By How Marcia Brady Looks Today

I'm seeing these same ads on mine. Before it was almost always porn, dating sites and sex toys. And I was also successful in not being stunned by how Marcia Brady looks today.

And I was also successful in not being stunned by how Marcia Brady looks today. I didn't bother to go look at what Marcia Brady looks like today because I don't really care what she looks like today

I just got a confirmation from Postimg that they discovered a bug in their new software. They also added our forum as a trusted site so it switched to Google Adsense.
