Took this last Friday at a local star party. It's NGC-4725, NGC-4712 and Makemake (red lines). It's stretched in photoshop. ASI185MC & Celestron 130SLT. 30x8s, 340 gain I had issues with the Ultrastar's API not loading in Windows due to "insufficient resources". I tried rebooting but it didn't work. So, I moved my finder camera (185MC) to the primary camera. I didn't have a finderscope so I had difficulty finding objects. Of course, it worked when I plugged it in at home.

Wow! I've never seen a capture of Makemake before - very very cool!!
Hope you aren't losing your skies to the wildfire!

A little. We have a fire at Camp Pendleton that sends smoke our way but it's mostly at the horizon. The bigger fires are up in L.A. The worst fire in San Diego since I've been living here was the Witch Creek Fire in 2007 (around 200,000 acres). I didn't know my wife at the time but she had to evacuate her condo for 3 days. Where I was living, about 30 miles from the fire, there was ash falling like snowflakes and you could smell the smoke in the air. The worst I've seen from my current house was in 2014 fire in San Marcos. I wasn't observing at the time (my wife bought my scope for Christmas 2014. We took this picture. At night, you could see the fire at the ridge.
