sorry,,ken will need to take over as for image settings,, what I wanted to see was that the camera was sending a signal and it is,,hopefully ken can go through the settings tomorrow.... tip .. I would get a c mount lens to use on the camera for initial fault testing. another tip would be to get a flip mirror and a 6mm eyepiece for setting up camera to scope,,,the 6mm eyepiece is very close to the view the camera sensor gets ,,when I first started I went through the same woes with Samsung and phil dyer camera.. unfortunately I don't have a revoloution camera to help on settings.

Marty, my guess is that you have a dud cable. I have two dud cables here waiting to be thrown out if you want more of them Because they are cheap mass-produced cables they aren't really reliable and can die at any moment. I think the connections break inside the connectors on the cable and because they are usually moulded they aren't easy to fix. They aren't a re-solder job. When mine stuff up I just go buy another one, but I have an electronics shop about half an hour drive away so it's easier than buying online each time. The cable I get is called a CCTV siamese power/data cable.

So, it took a few weeks to get the bad cable/adapter exchanged. Opted for a different brand on both the dual cable and BNC adapter and SUCCESS! The video feed AND power are connected! But wouldn't you know it? Cloudy skies and rain forecasted through Sunday. Guess I'll have to wait bit longer to try out my new set up. Thanks for all the suggestions and help everybody!
