Thanks davy... i am just reading about back focus, i think therein i will find my answer. Just need to spend some time googling. I will have another short run tonight, i am nearly there, thanks to you guys for the help and patience... i should jot down on a pad some of the settings that are working for my scope... i might be able to help someone else in return.
Cheers, clear skies (so far) beau.
Ps. Saw a bright star in 25mm, dropped barlow in, oh 2 little stars next to it... drop the barlow out, in with 10mm. Ohhh, 4 lil stars around the big one, showed wife... drop barlow and 10mm in.... well I'll be a monkeys uncle... that star has bands of colour and those are moons around it....Jupiter! Too cool, had to have a chuckle when wifey looked and saw what it was too... more scopes n eyepieces to buy now....lol.

I was wrapped, just a radom bright star the wife said to point at... now to get the order of connectors, reducers and extenders sorted to find cam focus with this scope. Someone elsewhere metioned using the diagonal in the optic train, i did give it a quick go 1st night but cant remember if i had the .5 reducer in, i wasnt using the barlow without lens as extender...
I'll write down what i try tonight and the effect...I'll get there soon, when i can pull an hour or two at the scope. Kids have had the flu, so only getting a few minutes at a time to try...busted legs aren't helping either, up down up down... bugger it, try again tomorrow...lol

Lol,,writing it down,, good one ,we all give this advice.do we actually do it,,, no I dont think so,, im that stunned at the time because I have a break in the clouds or its not raining I jump in feet first,,,then it's barlows and reducers and extension tubes scattered all over the place,,,, my type of astronomy is called the semtex system...... looks like a blast pattern all around my scope..lol
