Another question ;( Ok well I was centring objects with my double reducer But seems too much of a reduction . I've gone back to a single reducer I had M31 in my sites tonight kept centre in my eye piece but for some reason not on camera chip ? Any tips or is it possible to getter a faster feedback on screen at lower sens up Happy with seeing M31 my first time visual as well Would of loved a pic And happy with the camera and focusing now So any advice on getting target on the chip quicker if possible would be helpfull
Thanks si

Si, with the single FR, is the object anywhere in the FOV and you want to centre it, or is it off the screen and you have to go looking for it?

It's not in the FOV ken I had it in once when I first got it First time lucky Then the fun began
Then I spent a few hour Checking my eyepiece to see if still on target But on flipping the mirror not showing on Fov On camera and then searching , looking for it And on searching when slewing having to Keep stopping to wait on the screen refreshing
Many thanks si

Sounds like you aren't properly polar aligned Si.
If you polar align, the object should be in the FOV each time.

Add darkness to that and you have a fine recipe for frustration. Years ago I used to teach swimming. I didn't do that by throwing people into the deep end of the pool. If you have the opportunity to set up your equipment during the day, do so. Pick distant objects and experiment with your camera and focal reducers. When you do get out at night start with objects bright enough to be seen easily on the screen without using integration. I assume you have a finder on your telescope and that it is set for your eyepieces. Reset the finder with you camera in place.

Si, it looks like your flip mirror is not aligned, I have a brightstar flip mirror and when I first used it I had to realign the mirror to what the camera had in FOV. On the brightstar is there allen screws to adjust tilt/angle of mirror, have a look on yours
