Nice job Chris. You've managed to pull out some nice detail in those images. You did well to pull out the detail in the firework galaxy. That one looks tough. The Dumbell, Swan and Eagle are excellent. Nice clean images.

Very good results Chris.
Yes, the Mono does bring out the fainter Galaxies. Nice.

Chris: the eagle nebula is really impressive. well done!
with Miloslick...you did standard, average stacking x4 on the fly? I'm wondering if you have ever tried the fast stacking option (I guess it's stacking before digital compression to reduce artifact) alone or in combination with the standard stacking? I've tried it but haven't gotten it to work that well but I'm very new at this and it may well be that I've got wrong settings
also..i'm starting to add Light Pollution filters as I live in Berkeley ...I think the lumicon you use is similar band pattern to a celestron LP filter I have..no IR filter..was wondering if you ever found IR blocking helpful? I have an astronomik CLS CCD that I use with the still camera that blocks IR but with my 120mm refractor this really cuts light down

I am really impressed with this cameras sensitivity and look forward to using it a lot more often.

You are correct regarding the high speed stacking and I have notice a reduction in the artifacts. I tend to use it on the medium setting 3 frames in conjunction with the standard stacking of 2 to 4 images averaged out. I would prefer not to use an IR block filter unless I am strictly going to observe nebulas. The CLS filter is a bit narrower than the Lumicon or Celestron LP filter and comes in handy when the light pollution is worse or dealing with a moon up high and bright.
