Hi guys,
Im ashamed to say that in just over a year in astronomy I have never attempted to collimate my scope... And im like 100% sure the woman I bought the scope from would have never ever touched it either! She was shocked that I planned on using the scope outside lol! It was only ever used to look out over the river through the window apparently lol. Its a 8-9 year old scope...
All I know is to check if its ok... go in and out of focus on a star... if the 'donut' circles stay centered/parallel its ok. Mine always looks ok to be honest...
Could one of you geniuses hold my hand on this one and walk me through how to collimate a SCT please??
