Hey guys sorry but looks like i will be moving over to imaging...Seems there is a new camera / chip out that gives decent results... The technology is called EMCCD and is pretty cheap...just 31,000 Euros LOL Check out this guys site... I have never seen pics like this that wasnt from the hubble. To be fair tho ive never seen pics from a camera in this price range junior-ccd.fn-f.de/#

That was nearly a year ago. I wonder how development has progressed. It would make an absolutely fantastic VA cam. I will be dead before I can afford one though.

I'm trying to fit a $200 VAcam package into the budget, never mind those above. LOL they cost more than my new car I bought two years ago. I don't think that would go well with the misses..lol. Images would be amazing tho.

Then what..stick it into a £200 telescope and view it on a £20 monitor or a £10 video grabber. .lol..astronomy has no limits

Yes it can be a compulsive hobby..I set my self goals buy small bits n bods and a larger purchase once a year..im at my 3rd yr now and its slow but shurely getting there kit wise..weather been really poor at mines so I grudge buying something I may not use often..like a telescope lol...

There is always something you NEED! be it a small adapter or screw or cable or filter or software or the hubble... it just never stops lol!
