Here is an interesting problem. The image is ,you guessed it ,M83 again. BUT, it is a stack of 30sec x 3 done on live stacking in sharpcap. The difference here is that each 30 second exposure was done on ASIair. These are saved to disc on the ASIair and then imported to sharpcap and stacked on the live stacking feature of sharpcap. It is obviously post processing and not in the spirit of VA, but does blurr the boundaries a bit more. It is an awful image as it was a series of 30sec exposures on my nexstar alt/az and 30 sec is far too long on that mount. When I get a another clear night, I will do a series of 15sec subs and then import them to sharpcap and see what I can come up with. It needs to be said this is not how I want to use the ASIair. I am only interested in what I can see on the ipad at the time. I am just amused that I can use the live stack feature of sharpcap when it is not live stacking. True live stacking on the ASIair will be a great feature when ZWO eventually get around to it cheers Paul
