I grabbed some full 2 monitor screen grabs from the RisingTech 224 camera in an ED80. The settings, including exposure length, are on the left in the settings column. The right side Monitor shows the object in Cartes Du Ciel. One thing I notice with the RT 224 is that it shows Amp Glow in short exposure rates. I boosted Gain to counteract it with shorter exposures but hated the noise created by Gain, so I set it very low again. And I didn't want to stack. I just wanted to see how single frames come up in the ED80 with this RisingTech 224 camera (the ZWO version doesn't have the Amp Glow problem). I like the detail even at these short exposures To see the images at full scale use the Download Tab when the image opens: Here they are:

Nothing wrong with those.
Do you drive the scope with the planetarium program?

No Robert. I find life simpler just using the hand controller. I have an extension cable on it so I can stay in the Control Room and do everything

That's basically my set up these days. Revo on the finder. Gstar on the scope. Controlled from the verandah. Mine's not quite as tidy looking as yours

Fixed Ken, What did you do to fix the images? There have been quite a few images over the last year that I have been unable to view. Also, did you use any filters with those 30 sec exposures? They are nice images. cheers Paul

Paul, yes, I used a Minus Violet filter To fix any images that aren't working, you have to change the web address to get them to open. 1. Click on the little box that is supposed to be an image thumbnail and it will open another page. 2. In the address bar at the top of that page change where it says org to cc, 3. Click enter on your keyboard. The page should now open with the image on it.

Ken, how did you get such a good picture of Eta Carinae with such a low gain setting in a single shot?.
Cheers Martin

Ken, how did you get such a good picture of Eta Carinae with such a low gain setting in a single shot?. Cheers Martin Personally Martin, I don't consider it a good shot. I have done better in the same exposure time with the same gear. I must have had a lot of Moon that night. It looks washed out to me in that image. No secret to how I get Carina, and other objects, to show up nicely in short exposures with very low gain. It is simply 'Dark Sky'. I have absolutely zero light pollution. The Moon is the only light I ever have to contend with.
