Hi folks, I have a little 224 camera and it's running using the ToupSky program. I have a few M12 lenses that I can couple to the camera using a c-mount adapter, including a groovy fisheye lens. I've used these lenses with a Brinno camera, but the settings are limited for astro applications. The ToupSky program offers far greater setting, but I just don't know if I can do time lapse with it. If it can, I just don't know how to access it. I know this can be done with ZWO cameras, but can it be done with ToupSky? The Revolution Imager Advanced IMX224 says it can, and it too uses ToupSky software: www.revolutionimager.com/products/224Is it possible? Damned if I can find how, and the instructions are not much help. Is it "batch record"? Thanks for looking, Alex.

Alex, here's a simple guide for Time Lapse in ToupSky or RisingSky
I just ran a test of 20 frames at 5 second exposures and it worked fine. You can enter up to 99,000 frames if you want, at whatever exposure time you select. Have fun

Thanks Ken I'm trying now to see how to add an interval gap between frames. Alex.

I've been going over the instructions to figure it out - flaming cryptic and useless instructions!!! No explanation and terms that make no sense. How exasperating!
Maybe someone with a ZWO 224 camera who's done time lapse could give me an idea on what to look for?
Alex.

Ok, I've been digging a little further into my time lapse thing. So far the best I've been able to find with ToupSky is have the camera take a series of png images at a perscribed period, and then use a software converter to combine the image sequence into an avi file. It's a start.
I've also installed SharpCap 3.0 as it has a more readily useable time lapse function. However, the program doesn't "see" the Rising Tech camera when it is connected to the computer! Even doing a rescan for cameras, the RT camera doesn't show up.
I thought SharpCap was able to work with these Rising Tech camera?
Have I missed a step? Do I need to tweak something in SharpCap for the Rising Tech camera to register?
Alex.

Thanks Davy. It explains a lot. Still leaves me trying to work out if there's a direct way to get time lapse footage with this camera and ToupSky without needing to piss around with converting files...
