Busy time over last couple of weeks,, Training my new tenor drum corp to play in the armistice parade at kilsyth,, so I will be going out with the band this year, looking forward to getting my lassies out for first time
Last year I was marching with the vet's and what's left of the kilsyth British legion,, I was shut down and demolished a few years ago but a few ex members still go on parade,, I started when I was 18 and took over from my dad when he couldn't manage it due to his health. I always try and do it in my home town either with the vet's or with the Pipeband, my daughter marched with me last year with the vet's,,proud as hell. I never served but I do it for respect of those who did.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.
