This is the world championships.. the pinnacle of all.
Lol ,, that's why I'm a drummer . It's got to be in the blood ken,, put a Scots battalion to war with the pipes blaring.. unstoppable,, mmm yip crazy sons of bitches. Saw a documentary once about the British sas and a guy asked why is there so many Scots been in the sas,, guy just laughed ,, you would need to have a Scots mentality to possibly understand it..
Was like when I shot my self in the arm ,, I'm staggering to stay ony feet and no pass out,, and guys are try to help me,, and I shouts ,, I'm no gonna cry for you barstewards,, and we all laughed our heads off

LOL! I watched a documentary yesterday about WWII and it showed the Scots marching out towards the Germans with Bagpipes blaring. My first thought was "what a pack of twits, the bagpipes are giving the Germans an audible target to shoot at", and right after I thought that, that the commentator said the same thing LOL! No wonder the Germans picked them off so easily. Aussies did a similar stupid thing in WWI at Gallipoli, by tooting a whistle 3 times as a signal to the Aussie troops to climb out of the trenches and run at the enemy. They did this over and over The Enemy just sat and waited until they heard the 3 toots, then opened fire and mowed down 99% of the Aussies each time. Absolutely terrible waste of life.

My dad's mum lost her first husband there.

Back on Astronomy duty now,, lol Had a fantastic couple of days at the world's,, Friday was a solo job,, Davy no mate's . Saturday I flew solo again for a few hours,, was in at the world's early doors to catch mate Alistair , pipe major of the black watch pipe band,, got a load of pictures of them before and during the qualification round.
Met up with a couple of mate's and went around with my pipe band dad,, wee John my mentor over the years,, We went round watching our local area bands and gave our support as there are ex members of kilsyth thistle pipe band playing with them, The black watch won the world Pipeband championship for grade 4a and became champion of champions as well. A lot of my photo's have been used on there Facebook page,, chuffed. Knackered today 😀
