Tried the 8" F5 newt with the ASI071 tonight. Tried some single long shots (1 - 5min) with guiding. I did also stack them, but here's just the single shots. Captured with sharpcap on the PC stick, guiding with PhD2 on the stick. Files saved onto computer inside and processed with AT. First two globular clusters, both single 180sec captures. M4 M68

And finally single 3min captures of the Lagoon & Trifid Nebulae. These jpgs don't look great compared to those on my computer> nice night. I've still got the scope out there now stacking away at M83. Might be some sort of video astro law of diminishing returns going on, as I later did some 2min subs at higher gain - the images are a bit more saturated but the detail comes out quickly with stacking.
