They are really nice rob. Great size objects for your scope. And they must be reasonably low in the sky

Here's another shot of M17 I took last night Lodestar X2M (RGB: 5x10s each channel) Here's a single frame of the Moon with the ASI185MC (gain 200, 7ms)

Nice.
What do you reckon about the lodestar Rob? There's an X2C for sale 2nd hand on iceinspace. Looks really sensitive. I just worry about the resolution compared to the cameras in using.

I do like it. It is a small image and sometimes I wish the actual image was bigger but it downloads quickly and the field of view is larger than the 224MC. If you click on the image, that's the full size. I like playing with the Mono and Starlight Live's multi-spectral capability. So far, the only time I wish it had better resolution was with the smaller objects like Planetary Nebulae. I'm getting about 3.6 arcsec/pixel with the 80mm f/5.9 Orion so a small object is just a blob of a few pixels.
I've read recently that Sharpcap is going to eventually support Starlight Xpress cameras natively (there's currently an ASCOM driver but it's pretty limited in Sharpcap). I haven't used it yet for guiding but when Sharpcap does support it, I may start using the Starlight Xpress cameras exclusively (one or the other in the guidescope). I use Sharpcap for the polar alignment feature, which is great. I've not tried it yet but the 8.2µm pixel size is supposed to be better for a bigger scope like my dob. It's also doesn't work well with planets or the moon (not fast enough).
If you get one, you might also pick up a 1.25" parfocal ring. It helps to put the camera back in the same position each time. Since it's a long 1.25" barrel, it can go in pretty deep (e.g. for a newtonian).
I'm not sure I'd want a color one if I had your cameras though, unless you could get it dirt cheap and just wanted to try Starlight Live. If it were a mono, I'd say go for it just to be able to play around with multispectral shots. Other than that, I'm not sure what it would bring to the table for you. I'd take it over my 185MC though.
