Some of these shots fit into the other categories but thought I'd keep them together. ASI071 with a UHC filter on my GTF81 (F5.9), and guiding with a 50mm guidescope in PhD2. Captured with sharpcap and stacked in astrotoatster. For last night with this moon = nice big FOV. Some weird lines, don't know where they came from These are screen shots in astrotoaster. This is a single 120sec sub (gain 350). The full frame and then zoomed in.

And then just let it go for 24x 120sec while I watched my football team possibly avoid the wooden spoon.

Fantastic detail Chris. I love that size FOV!!!
Those horizontal lines in your Moon pic look like interference lines from something electric near your cables.

Now I've finally got this camera working. I love the big fov. And the camera has a large well size so can suck in those photons

That is indeed a nice wide FOV Chris. Glad to hear you have gotten on top of the 071. And guiding! I am crossing fingers for clear skies this coming Saturday 22nd as its the club night out at Wyaralong ... plan for some usual 30 sec shots with a HD desktop video capture of all the new objects which have popped up. Plus then to do some longer guided shots. cheers Howie

The guiding is great for the longer shots. But it slows things down. When you move to a different part of the sky I find you often have to Recalibrate as the meshing of gears etc is slightly different - but maybe with your belt modded mount this is not an issue. And you have to turn off backlash compensation in your mount. Phd2 doesn't like it - it sorts out backlash by itself.
I tried again last night but couldn't start till late as of clouds and even then seeing was terrible.
And hoping my local viewing night is on next weekend.
When I Get the hang of it I'll try the newt. That will be harder as fl = 1000 as opposed to 472mm.

Those are amazing shots! The single frame shot is nice and clean.
