Finally got to see some sky. Here are a couple of snaps straight out of the GStar Ex3 on the Bresser 127L x0.5. Still have to use dark subtraction at set up, but hot pixels are getting noticably less as the temperature cools down Pinwheel is a stack of 4 (additive).

Very nice Robert! Love the Omega Centauri - I don't get to see it so I have to live vicariously. Is there an inner structure to it or is there dark nebulosity?

Thanks Davy, Rick
Omega Centauri - I guess this image is under-exposed by normal standards, so the core is not as dense as is usually seen.

That's a really nice omega centauri. I can see the stars nicely, and the different colours.

Wow Robert!!! Nice work mate! Nice sharp stars in Omega and good capture of the arms in M83 Rick, Omega Centauri is a very strange Globular in the sense that they believe it has a Black Hole at the centre, re-categorising it as a small Galaxy, not a Globular Cluster. They have been studying it for a few years now in an attempt to prove the existence of a Black Hole but they aren't easy to prove, but they are witnessing the effects that match Black Holes at the centre of galaxies. It is a massive Globular, and is easily seen naked eye. Here it is marked on my photograph of our night sky: (top right corner near Centaurus 'A' galaxy)

Thanks Ken The additive stacking (S. Pinwheel) is pretty amazing. Here's the first image before I added the other 3.

Thanks for the info, Ken! Time to read up!!
I believe there are a few weeks where it gets high enough to be seen above the horizon for us. I would just need to get out of town to be able to do so.
