hi folks,, I had a rethink about the forum directory getting run from here and I think given the size of the task I have made an independent site,, I didn't want to add to the work that the admin and staff already have . secondly I thought it may be better independent of any other astronomy forum ,,website or group.
I have set up a website landing page to redirect to the directory as well and hopefully get a facebook page up and running,,,, looking for staff from all astronomy walks of live to make it work... it is a directory and the only section that ... if I have done it correctly is the general page.. and no im not walking away from here,,,,,, lol,,,,, the directory is a thing I have wanted to do for years,,where we in vaf help video astronomers get info I want to help all astronomers get info they are looking for on the internet and hopefully the astronomy family will dig in and help make it a goal. davy
As much as I like the idea of an all encompassing directory I was wondering how it would work in here, as this Forum is a specialised Forum not a general Forum.
I will help in there where I can.

There is a few directories on the net and I'm not knocking them, but with this one I want it to more. I started building it late Friday night as an experiment to see how big it would get and see how it would impact this forum.
It was just going to be far too big , square peg to round hole would be the truth of it.
It will be a big undertaking but I hope it's of use to folk and the layout suits folk,,. Still looking for help on it so far no takers apart from ken
Will be setting up a Facebook page to help gather information on Facebook astronomy group's as well.
