Look at this on eBay www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291748621886I bought this arbour press a couple of weeks ago to get converted to a leather press,, uncle John picked it Wednesday and converted it by drilling the base of the ram to take a leather stamp strike handle and an adapter to shim it to smaller stamps,, and made a metal base for my acrylic block,,, and dropped it off today... works fantastic unc ,, cheers,,

Update.on yet another hobby Uncle John done a great job on the conversion,, better than what I had wanted, so first belt was made for uncle John.. It was my first one and had a couple of boo boos but only slight,, belt turned out pretty good for first try. Yip lessons were learned and this will help with number 2. The arbour press is a great tool,, but I still want better designs on the belt,, it's about £6 per stamp and it soon mounts up when you're trying to make bespoke belts. Have two more options to try, the swivel knife carving is a true art and way beyond my current skills. So let's stick to what I'm good at,, I found that folk are cutting templates and use an airbrush with two colours of leather dye to create fantastic looking leather work. I have two vinyl cutters and spent a lot of time learning how to do vinyl stencils, stickers ect.. I also have my own an airbrush kit, so very logical to try this . Number two is to make stencils but sand blast design into the leather.. sand blaster in the work, so will give it a test as well,, and will use air bush to finish, if it works. New airbrush arrived on Friday, waiting on a red leather dye coming, this will give me black and red,, hope to highlight design in red and blend to black on edges.

Cheers rick, next up a change in direction,, I will apply a pattern via templates and air brushing dye on the belt I will lay down a central blood red on belt centre and let it dry , then I will apply template and spray it black, the edges of the belt will be black and fade to the red ,, can but try

Yeah it can be tiring trying to keep on top of them all, few of them helping me in the belt making,, when I finally finish up doing mechanics I will need a boost to the income so the hobbies hopefully may create an income.
