I think Hemmi said he uses that software! Hopefully he can give you the details you need.
Im just guessing but i would assume that to use this software you need a ST4 port on your mount?

Yeah, I remember Hemmi saying he uses either Astrotortilla or T-Point. So does Chris A. They'll be along shortly when they see the heading

Yes I use Astrotortilla, but not a lot of of experience with it yet. I set it up to pull an image from Miloslick via auto screen capture. You need ascom platform and serial connectivity to your mount. No st4 required. It will not auto align your scope, but it will allow you to get your polar alignment perfect. It also will auto sync your mount by improving pointing accuracy to 1 arcminute. In short after a goto, run the astrotortilla routine and it will auto sync and center the object till its within 1 arch min accuracy.
You still must align your scope as normal, this software just allows you to improve gotos using plate solving.
Hope this helps. I will report back once I get a chance to play with it more. But I think it will help a lot when you have just a rough alignment and gotos are off. Once you run the routine, the software calculates exactly where the scope is pointed. Then it will keep adjusting the scope till the scope is pointing where it should, then syncs the mount.
