Best wishes to our NSW, VIC and Tassie Astronomy mates. That storm which hit us up here in Brissie over the past 4 days seems to have hit you guys down South of the border far worse than SE Queensland. Our Gold Coast and some Brisbane suburbs hit by minor flooding. Nothing like the 3 deaths in NSW. Luckily my place was just 480mm of rain over 48 hours and gusts for 4 days from 40 to 70km/hr. www.abc.net.au/news/2016-06-05/gold-coast-cops-worst-but-qld-dodged-bullet/7478654

The waves breaking into that restaurant was a scary sight.
Hope everyone is safe.

I'm about 2 hours west of the bad stuff, so all is good here thanks Howie, davy and Rick. It's raining (has been for days) but nowhere near as bad as the others are copping it!
Shevill has been copping some terrible weather down there in Tasmania for about 2 weeks and now this latest flooding Monsoonal weather is also heading his way. I hope he is well and safe.

I think he's up in elevation a little bit, so I hope he escapes flooding

Bloody water ! I thought Queensland was the one that copped all this. And our suburb was lucky.
Spent most of Sunday clearing water out of the rumpus room. Telescope gear intact and cheered up by an evening of New Order at the opera house (classy) !
