LOL, retirement is when you get to do all the things you have wanted to do and they end up making you busier, with less spare time than when you worked!

We have the same images but one has the red night vision on you can see how bright the images taken are, various exposure tests before I got a clear picture,I took some half an hour later when it got dark and messed around getting, exposure to iso correct, images ended up looking like daylight shots,,and the noise level was very good, need darker skies or moon around my fov to get some test data and get astro toaster worked out.

Well I had first light with the upgrades and im a happy chap ,,this was just a stest run and no serious stuff carried out I had the moon out in baby blue skies..no polar alignment, because it was so light..and no star alignment,,the heq5 handset was not used,I used the hitecastro heq5 cable and carte de ciel, started up with a usd repeater cable and couldn't get it to link, removed usb repeater, bingo ,in first time, clicked on the moon and it was very close to bang on,,now ive tried this method in the flat with the handset and not been as close,,,so big thumbs up to the cable and cdc,I also used my long/lat settings for my flat,so im shure it would have been closer if not bang on. I used just the ed80 and sw 0.85 focal reducer and canon 600d linked to backyard eos,,I had to use iso 100 and a 1/125 shutter speed not to wash the detail out, I took images and video on these settings and on video/planetary settings I cranked it up tp 1000 exposures and looped it 6 times,,,I filled my laptop memory,,,now thats what I call fun,,,well ive had video astronomy cabin fever a looooong time,,I have a ton of stuff to look at,,but this combo with a dslr im really happy with results,,day of laptop work ahead..happy chap.

as shot,,,this is an image..taken with byeos,it was done with imaging selection button,,,,,,planetary capture was done on exact same setting 100 iso at 1/125 shutter speed it is then one of 1000 captures on a loop of 6 to produce a video,,because of my broadband speed it it would take nearly two hours to upload to utube,, image was zoomed in and cropped only..

sorry it took so long,,i pulled in 32gb of data last night, between video capture and images, the planetary video capture on byeos was 1000 exposures looped 6 times and produced a 50 second video,,,and the quality is very nice,,,some noise when zoomed in on background

That Moon shot looks good davy. Yeah, You Tube uploading is slow. Mine take about an hour to upload some nights. I go do other stuff like eat dinner, have a shower, etc while it's uploading.

with my internet looks like it will be images posted,,,its a carry on,,,,,dilemma,,,,so backyard eos software changes the captured images rapid via live view,1000 images, I selected and looped it to do it 6 times and finished job is a 50 sec video, but because im using mobile broadband I then need to take it back to an a FRAME of the video capture, and post it as an image... can I do that here,,i have captured it as a video but its astrophotography image..lol welcome to video astronomy 2016

it comes under our definition of hybrid camera,,an imaging camera that can take video images through software manipulation,,,i could have saved 50 dollars on the byeos lol..yip,,baffled me ken. but its video lol
