So how the heck do i figure out where and when people are broadcasting ?
I don't seem to be having much luck finding stuff and when i do i always miss the broadcast. I'm sure part of the problem is being on the wrong side of the world (and my general stupidity).
I had a hard time of it before when nsn was up as i usually missed broadcasts. It's even harder now

Chris, our problem here in Oz it that most of them are Yanks and that means they come on in our early afternoon, so we often miss them. Many of them advertise their broadcasts in NSN Facebook.

Yeah Chris ... its a bit of a mess right now isn't it. I guess it will settle down eventually. The broadcasters have been told on the NSN facebook page, to remember to post in advance when they are going to do a show on NSN Facebook, and to also post it on the Cloudy Nights EAA Broadcast thread. But now I see there's also a Live Broadcast section in the new NSN forum. So 3 places for us watchers and followers to look. Then some broadcasters use Google Hangouts to broadcast with but it will ONLY let 10 people watch! So usually it wont let you on to view cos there's 10 already watching and its full. Some broadcasters are also broadcasting on YouTube. Some broadcast on both hangouts and youtube simultaneously! So as most of the broadcasters are from the US, I check all three sites every hour starting at around 10am our Aussie time (which is 8pm their time - about their setup time). So I check all three - NSN Facebook page, CN EAA broadcasters thread, and now I also check the new NSN forum every hour or so if I really want my fix / instructional / inspirational viewing session. And, once you find one on youtube or hangouts subscribe so you can build up a link of their vid channels in your youtube login. Then I also check those subscriptions occasionally as some do save their broadcasts. There's one guy who did a Messier marathon and saved 11 hours of broadcast! Here's the link I saved for that ... And here's another guy who also has some good stuff using a variety of cams www.youtube.com/channel/UC-YCts3FOCHpg_BctwDfiEgcheers

I'm hoping when nsn.com kicks off that the broadcasters will post when they are going to broadcast in the nsn forum,(that we made them )you can then set up the page to send you an email notification. www.proboards.com/user-guide/notifications

Personally I don't use Facebook. My preference would be if broadcasters would use Twitter or similar notification tool to advise of upcoming broadcasts. Last week I luckily stumbled on Chris Appleton's broadcast where he was testing the Mallincam DS 2.3+ and AstroToaster. I learned a lot and enjoyed it greatly. It was recorded and uploaded it to Youtube.

Wouldn't it be fantastic to have a unifying notification solution?

The only way I know a broadcast is on is by going to NSN and looking
I don't do facebook (except occasionally read the NSN Facebook page), or Twitter, or any of those social sites, and I only check my emails about every third day
