Crazy... read noise < 1!? Howie says ... No affiliations at all with the following but I will say ... That's why Don and I like our ASI224's .... Very sensitive in IR, and sensitive in general ... Read noise 0.75e – 1.5 e. It's 1e/ADU at unity gain of 135 and 0.75e at 350 (max gain)! It's a nice cam for EEA and for planetary. But .... has amp glow in abundance ... stacking or darks in AT take care of that though. I believe the cooled version is out now too which would help the amp glow. Howie_Oz

It just goes to show how much profit they make on top shelf items. They can reduce the price by $28,397 and $25,260 and still make a profit!!! So at normal prices, they make in excess of $25,260 to $28,397 profit on each sale. Nice little business!
