Thanks John, yeah mate, scary stuff with the fires around us. One of the major fires was half an hour east of here and the massive one still going that has already taken out 116 houses is just over 1 hour south of us. We often get them right here in and around our town so we are very nervous with the temperature now sitting around the high 30's and into the 40's (100 - 110 fahrenheit). The floods in England look bizarre! I read a story today that at the peak of the flood a Parking Cop was booking cars that were stuck in the Flood!!!!!!! Today the Council announced that all cars booked in floodwaters will not have to pay fines. Then the general public has commented with outrage saying "shame on the council, why were they booked in the first place?" One good story concerning our fires, a supermarket owner in the fire zone went to the Firefighters and gave them the keys to his supermarket and said "take whatever you need". The Firefighters could have taken anything and everything but they only took bottled water and some cooked Chickens. The supermarket owner was given a certificate for Community Spirit and a $500 voucher from the 'Good Guys' a Homewares & Appliance store. The supermarket owner gave the Voucher to the people who lost their homes in the fire! SEE HERE: www.3aw.com.au/news/fires-hero-lorne-shopkeepers-gives-firefighters-the-keys-20151228-glvo54.html

Hope those fires keep their distance, Ken.
We have had torrential flooding here, with many roads closed. In Texas, they were getting snow in the west and very large tornadoes in the east. On the day after Christmas, the county we were driving thru had a brief Tornado Warning. My friends in Central Illinois have had their power out for 5 days due to a very nasty ice storm.
Craaazy.

Total disgrace typical councils..police are just as bad..went to takeaway three nights ago ,took the car because it was freezing and I had man flu ..came out started the car as a cop car came in to car park ,I pulled out two seconds later police car right up back bumper ..followed me to carols I turned into car park they drove straight on..I went into carols living room to see them drive in at speed carols son was out getting the cat in and Strathclydes finest were taking my registration..very nice of them but had they stopped me at car park they could have breath tested me till the cows come home as i have been tea total for 8yrs and for five year + I only maybe had a couple if pints a year..as it is i will get polluted by them for next six month in traffic stops I bet..well done boys in blue another sober driver fed up
