Hello All, Thank you very much for the invite to your fourm, there is lots of we great information you have here! Our hope at Revolution Imager is to help excite you, your kids, your wife, your neighbors, your local school and your dog about what you can now more readily see with a modest telescope from less than perfect conditions. We are here to help answer all your astronomy questions before, during and most importantly after any purchase (even if it was not from us!), so that you can get the most from the equipment you already have and may someday want. Honestly all we have over the average Joe is 26 years of doing it wrong 6 days a week mostly, so perhaps if you just want to know what doesn't work well we can talk for hours on end.... haha, that's real astro-imaging truth right there ;-) We hope your love and appreciation of Astronomy grows and will always poke you a little to go share it with your friends and neighbors if you can. What I know is the Revolution Imager is the most simple way for you to see much more and share that sense of wonder and amazement with those around you both near and far. We really love it and honestly believe you may too. www.revolutionimager.com/pages/about-usMike Fowler info@RevolutionImager.com

Welcome to the forum mike. I have been following the post about the revolution kit in cloudy nights and if course ken has been keeping us up to speed on it and watching his review/tutorial on utube. the forum is two years old this month, it has a small memberiship compared to a lot of forums but we are a dedicated video astronomy forum and as you are aware video is a new section for a lot of astronomers, but we are growing and we look at the forum as a long term project.. lot of experience in our membership, but were so laid back we love it.. we have a simple rule..no bullying.. we dont have profanity filters because we trust our members to act correctly in promoting video astronomy..every member has equal rights and myself and forum staff only guide the forums direction. Totaly independent of sponsorship but we offer help to all vendors in promoting video astronomy. Davy

Thank you Davy, I appreciate your welcome! Happy 2nd anniversary also. I look forward to helping your forum grow with new and old customers looking for good, honest and open opinions!
And though I was a Marine in what seems like a lifetime ago, the curse words are usually just muttered under my breath these days ;-) Thanks for the reminder though!
Mike

Welcome Mike, and Revolution Imager Your Revolution Live Imaging kit is a great idea for people starting out as it comes complete and ready to use, nothing else needed like PC's, video Grabbers, Power, etc. I was happy to do the review on it and I found it very easy to setup and use straight out of the box. I hope you will keep us informed of any modifications to the kit.

Hi Ken!
Great review Ken, truly appreciate your input. Look for a "Kenmode" off telescope monitor cord option coming soon ;-) Would love to see some more southern treasure with the imager!
(Is it OK if we call it Kenmode on our website?)

Sounds like the end of next week will be clear.

Welcome Mike, I think this is fantastic. It fills such a need. There's a reason why so many of us started with Tasco 50mm refractors with wobbly mounts -- it was an inexpensive entry point but still could deliver results. I think in this day and age, we tend to forget the simple days of just pointing you $40 refractor at Saturn and seeing its rings! Video Astronomy has, in my opinion suffered the same disease. I think some mistakenly believe that if you don't have perfectly aligned scopes and you aren't stacking and you don't have the most sensitive camera and etc. etc. that you aren't doing it right! Well, they are wrong and I hope to see the Revolution Kits take off!
