had looked at this mount a while back and thought it might be a bit of a gimmick,,,, photography mount that takes pictures, exposure timed photos and amount of photos ect,,video cruise...and its an astronomy goto,,,aye right who are you trying to kid I thought,,,not a great deal on utube about it,,but I thought if its usless I will just punt it on and hide my head in shame,,,, wow how wrong was I this is a great mount on all its features,,i have tried it with my canon dslr with its (snap) cable linked to the mount,,exposure ect all controlled via the synscan hand controller,,worked brilliant,,,tried on video cruise mode great yet again could not fault it,,,great I have a nice motorised tripod,, but tonight I managed a bit of astronomy ,,yee haaa... set up the mount, brightest star alignment,,,ehm no visable stars apart from one from my viewing area,,lined it up,,second star behind he building just hit yes to move on,,,,selected moon from synscan controller,, scope slewed to aprox area,,well I new it wouldn't be close loosened the dual encoders and set it up on the moon and let it track,,,,wow,,tracked great for ten minutes moon pretty much in center of fov.. im very pleased,,don't know why this wee mount is not raved about it ,,,im in love lol.

What is it called davy?
It looks like a Skywatcher/Orion Synscan hand controller. If it is, that's why it is a good mount. Synscan GoTo's are excellent.
