Capitalism at its best. The first DOS (pre Windows) PCs cost over $10.000 in today's money. The first flat screen TVs were priced likewise. I wouldn't recommend holding your breath but you may have something similar in you hands in a few years. We are at the mercy of the CCTV security industry. Fortunately for us they want to see in the dark as much as we do. The industry stands to make huge profits from an affordable camera like that one. While we are dreaming about something with that capability they are planning how to make the most out of it.

In 1985, my high school chemistry teacher bought an IBM XT with 1 5.25" floppy and a whopping 5MB hard drive. I believe it cost him near $5000.
I remember thinking, why would you need all of that hard drive space???

Just need to look at mobile phones the sizefof them and more like mobile computers..in 1985 you would have got locked up in the looney bin for coming away with the technical kit about today..
