Been thinking on next steps for remote set up camera's, , with remote set ups being more sought after and wireless av senders being the logical way to go about this..so what about using an ip camera...would this work the cameras have a lot more to offer than analogue cameras giving a digital image without being converted as such..the camera im going to research into is the Samsung snb2000, 12 volt camera, 1/3 sensor,mpeg4,dnr,xdr..sense up from x2 to x512...0.001 lux sens up..tons of spec to check out. ..check it out and give opinions

Had a check mate and it looks good. Can find the manual here www.samsungsecurity.com/product/product_view.asp?idx=6083#FL010000 spec is on pages 60-64 Looks like a pretty detailed manual giving you instructions of how to set it up over a network. You can control the OSD through a web UI apparently. Looks expensive tho at about £250-300

Check the snb 3000 out www.samsungsecurity.com/product/product_view.asp?idx=6084&cid=83&clvl=0 spec is on pages 72-75 Sounds the exact same as the 2000 but a couple of extras. It has a memory card slot and also something interesting sounding in the spec... Intelligent Video Analysis Detection - Sensitivity - Very High, High, Normal, Low, Very Low Wonder what thats all about

had a look at these a while back, been looking for a wireless ip camera but can't find anything suitable for astronomy, all seem to have auto sens-up and fixed lens would need a lot of work to make it useable

Think its one to look out for if you can get it cheap. .you only need to look at the prices the scb2000 command at times..I would love to getmy hands on one but at the top end price I think I would rather go for a brightstar mamut. .
