So the way i see things is...
1: Entry level £50-100 = all the random types of 1/3" sensor cameras with sense up... scb2000, CR6, ln300, PD1 etc etc
2: Mid level £100-600 = scb4000, old mallincam maybe... But what other options are here???
3: Redonk level £600-2000 = Mallincam extreme 2, lodestar things maybe? Other mad cooled astro cams at stupid prices that im sure exist?
Im not interested in going to level 3 price range just yet... What cameras except the 2 i mention are available for the mid price range?
Can for example the Meade DSI III or Neximage 5 do video nah? And how would these things even compare to the entry level video cams? Cause they aint cheap...
There seems to be LOADS of options for entry level but not much for mid level... also for level 3 is the extreme 2 the very best video camera on the market?

The Watec seemed to be the midrange choice but is no longer available but there is a replacement I think. As for the Meade and Neximage nah to much setting up and from what most say are more suited to planets. Have to agree a good mid priced capable camera would be nice. If video becomes popular which Im sure it will over the world they should start appearing.

A very helpful guide for anyone interested in VA - perhaps this could become a "sticky" which essentially lists all the key cameras available for VA users??

Agreed John the Jnr pro does look to be the best bet for that price range.

Yes Chris I agree, but I have to be fair to Steve Massey (the seller of Gstar-ex) by not omitting him from the list. And yes, the Jnr Pro seems to be the best bang for buck camera at the moment. Results on NSN look excellent.
