the eqtooth...is a Bluetooth device that communicates between your computer and your eqmount wirelessly,my eqtooth is mounted to my skywatcher eq3/2 mount and is operated from my laptop using cartes de ciel astronomy software (freeware)the eqtooth does away with the need for a synscan controller, I purchased mine from ebay, its a bit of a pain at first to check and change your com port settings to get it working but when it does its a fantastic piece of kit,,,eqmod has to downloaded to your computer and latest ascom platform drivers installed as well before it interfaces with cdc...you can have a eqmod control panel on your cdc screen and adjust your mount settings on eqmod. all in all a good investment..eqtooth approx. £55.00..davy

I have been using one of these for about two years now and works great, but as you say takes a bit of setting up first time but at least it is one less cable to trip over. I also use a piece of software "WifiScpoe" on the laptop, I can now control the scope from the laptop, Android phone using Safari or from the IPad with Safari or Luminos. You need a wifi network to connect them all together, I use a 12v Wifi router when away from home.
